"The Badlands - aptly named barrens and wastes surrounding the ruins of man. Broken, bleak, devoid of almost all life, not fit for man or machine. There are no roads in these toxic wastes - just dunes, cliffs, craters, and rocky crags. Nearly impossible to traverse by foot, and no place for Junker motos or trucks. Yet still there are those who would try to tame it. Astride four wheeled steeds of steel, these outriders and scavengers ride in packs, like wolves looking for prey. Sturdy machines with strong suspensions, powerful engines, and thick tires which legends tell were designed for recreation and fun - now a necessity of survival in the Badlands."
